Is TaxEagle software or a CA firm?
Both, in that order. Agents do the reading, matching and drafting. Chartered accountants review and are accountable for what gets filed. You get a firm's signature at software's speed.
Do I need to be registered for GST?
Only once your turnover crosses ₹20 lakh — and exports count. Below that, registering voluntarily unlocks the LUT and input-credit refunds. TaxEagle tells you which side of the line you're on.
I already have a CA. Why would I need this?
Keep them. Most CAs see your foreign income once a year, from a bank statement. TaxEagle works monthly, from the invoice, and hands your CA a reconciled pack. Or let our CAs take it over — your call.
What's this "EDF" I keep hearing about?
A new RBI requirement for service exporters — declaring your export invoices so the money that arrives can be matched and closed in the bank's system. TaxEagle was built for it. More in the playbook. Dated notes live in Eagle Eye.
Where does my data live?
In India, encrypted, read-only where possible. TaxEagle reads credits and documents; it never holds your money or your banking password.
What will it cost after the free month?
A flat monthly fee, sized to what a freelancer actually pays a CA today — not to your income. We'll tell you the number before it starts, and founding members keep theirs for a year.
Do you really add 10% to what I keep?
No slogan, no guarantee. PayPal-class rails can leak a few percent versus a tight one. Invoicing a foreign client at 18% GST without a LUT parks or loses a lot more. The calculator shows your mix. We close the holes we can measure — FX, LUT, purpose-code mistakes that delay credits. We don't invent a percentage.
